Units and conversions
Pick units that match how you measure, and the math takes care of itself.
When you're done
Choose the right unit for each supply.
How to choose
- Weighed: ounce, pound, gram or kilogram. Wax, soap oils, filament.
- Poured: milliliter, liter or fluid ounce. Resin, epoxy, ink.
- Counted: each, sheet, spool, pack. Jars, wicks, blanks, labels.
- Rolls: tracked in square inches automatically.
Use the same unit in your recipe
On a product's cost to make, each line shows the unit of the supply it uses. Enter the amount for one item in that unit.
Watch out: If your supply is in pounds and your recipe says 8 ounces, enter 0.5 (8 / 16), not 8. Entering 8 would charge 8 pounds of wax to one candle.
Worked example: Quick conversions
| 16 ounces | 1 pound |
| 1 ounce | 28.35 grams |
| 1 pound | 453.6 grams |
| 1 fluid ounce | 29.57 milliliters |
| 1 yard | 36 inches |
